2 Months Old Already!!!
I started back to work after Gabe was six weeks old; after 2 weeks of vacation, Peter started his new overnight job this past week. I don't know how he does it: working all night and then taking care of Gabriel during the day! But my boys started with a good routine--including Gabe sleeping in late. Praise God!
Gabe started sleeping through the night consistantly at 5 1/2 weeks old! He started to coo and social smile. He loves watching our pets and his surroundings. We've left him with babysitters a couple of times and even got a just mommy-daddy date night in! He has visited with both sets of grandparents and all his aunties. Gabriel has been sleeping in his room in his crib for a little over a week.
I finally bought a Baby's First Year Calendar and we are recording every new experience. Today was Gabe's first grocery shopping trip--Peter carried him in his Snugli (carrier) and our baby was fascinated by all he saw. It's such a precious time to experience all our boy's "Firsts".
Here is Gabriel's two month photo with his Teddy. He wasn't in a great mood that night, so we took these shots in between tears!

3 weeks old
Sorry I haven't been too good about updating the blog...I will try to get back to once/week. Everytime I've tried to update the blog, Gabe decides it's time to eat ;)
Gabe had his doctor check-up yesterday. No shots for him, but mommy had to get a tetanus shot and flu shot, so now her arms are pretty sore!!!
His 3 week stats:
*20.25 inches long (19th percentile)
*9 lbs. 0.5 oz. (42th percentile)
*head circumfrence: 14.69 inches (41st percentile)
A big milestone happened last week is that Gabe rolled over from front to back!!! We were having some "tummy time" and he started scooting across the blanket, so we got out the video camera and then "flip!" He has rolled over 4 times in the past 5 days! What a strong boy!!!
I'll try to post the video later (it'll take me a little while to figure out...)

Gabriel Peter Jisung Park arrived on Sunday, September 14th at 6:32pm. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 9 oz and was 20 inches long! He is absolutely PERFECT!
More stories and photos to come within the next few days...here are just a few photos of our beautiful baby boy and his birth day:

38 weeks
Here's a belly pic from this past week. My belly looks pretty distorted...Gabe's running out of space in there!!! Hopefully that means he will be here very soon.... :)
We are still unpacking from our move, but baby Gabe's room is coming together... Baby clothes, blankets, towels, etc. are all washed. We just have some organizing to do yet! I'll take some photos of his room once it's a bit more organized...
We can't wait to bring baby Gabe home :) Don't forget to vote for when you think he'll arrive and to get in on the expectnet baby pool (link above.) Sorry, Auntie Molly, you guessed too early!!!

37 weeks
Here are some (not so flattering) 37 week photos. We are successfully moved into our new apartment thanks to Mom and Dad and many other friends who helped us pack, move, and clean.
Our new place is starting to feel like home...we're slowly getting organized and will hopefully get baby Gabe's room set up this coming weekend.

36 weeks
I don't know how I moved into the last square of the ticker so quickly!!!

I don't think my belly has gotten much bigger, but I can definitely tell it's getting to be snug in there!
Here are photos of me at 36 weeks:
Last time I went to the doctor, I commented how the pregnancy has gone by so quickly. She replied that most women say it slows down around 36 weeks. I can see that now! If we weren't moving next weekend, I'd say "Come anytime, Gabe!!"
The ladies at church threw us a baby shower yesterday...it was a very special, fun-filled time. Thank you!! (I'll hopefully post some photos later...)

34 weeks
Sorry, no belly photo this week, looks like the week got away from me!
This week's highlights:
*taking an "Introducing your infant to your pets" class in Eau Claire with my mom
*having my mom and dad help start to pack up our apartment last Sunday
*feeling bigger than ever
*learning that Gabe is head down at our doctor's appointment
*taking Birth Class last weekend with Peter
Birth class was a good experience overall. Honestly, I'm feeling a little nervous about the whole experience, but I know it will turn out well and being nervous doesn't change a thing.
One of the things that scares me is a big needle in my spine and not being able to feel my legs--but the fact that I may be in so much pain that I actually beg them to put a big, scary needle in my back so I can't feel my legs really makes me nervous!!!
I guess up until the Birth Class, actually giving birth felt pretty far away...but now that I'm almost 35 weeks...it feels soon!!! (Remind me that I wrote that when I'm 41 weeks pregnant and complaining!) ;)
These photos are probably more fun than my unattractive belly pics anyway, so take a look:

33 weeks
Last weekend, we had a joint baby shower at my Grandma's in Eagle River, Wisconsin.
Here are some photos from the event:
Erin at 28 weeks and Johanna at 33 weeks
Four generations--including those grandbabies in the tummies!

Beautiful Baby Afgans my mom crocheted
(I won't tell you how long she's been hanging on to those! ;) )

Aunt Char made a beautiful, delicious cake.

My mom with her brothers and sisters.

We had a great time, played some fun games, ate some delicious food, and spent quality time with family... Thank you to everyone who planned, came, and celebrated!
