5 months old (a little late, of course)
Here is Gabriel at 5 months old!
He was so happy sitting in cousin Larson's rocking chair...
Here are the cousins giggling at their aunties. They have the funniest aunties!
Grandma reading Gabe his Valentine's Day card!
Gabe's first time swimming!
Peter took some beautiful photos of Gabe after this last snowfall. Check them out on facebook:

Gabriel is growing so fast! He loves giggling, eating solid foods, his favorite toys (and he definitely has his favorites!), reaching for things and putting them in his mouth, and kisses. Gabe is becoming very social and loves being entertained by everyone!

Gabe is rolling from back to front a lot! He thinks it's so fun to roll, until he finds himself on his tummy...then he starts to whine. We are trying to remind him that he can and has rolled from front to back, but it's hard to reason with a 5-month-old. Peter bought him a Jumperoo yesterday and he absolutely LOVES jumping up and down.
Gabe's laughter and giggles are my favorite things in the world right now. So precious!!
Highlights since we last posted:
* Feb 4: Trip to the mall with Auntie Hilary; first time using stroller (finally!)
* Feb 6: Says "da-da" over and over and over
* Feb 8: First solid food--rice cereal--LOVES it!
* Feb 11: Rolls over front to back for Mommy!
* Feb 14: Visit cousin Larson; First time eating squash

This month we have had lots of fun with friends and family also!!!

3 months old
Shirt reads: "Who needs Santa? I've got grandparents!"
Here is Gabriel at 3 months old (on December 14th). Unlike his 2 month photo, we were able to get his photograph during a really happy time! (sorry so late)
Gabriel is growing and changing fast!! He is very interactive with lots of giggles and coos, we have had many special, tender moments recently. He loves bathtime, "power" kicking, his mobile, watching our dog, the song "Jesus Loves Me", playing pattycake with Grandma, making spit bubbles, sucking his thumb, sitting in his bouncy seat and grabbing at/hitting his toys, tummytime and holding his head/chest up (but not for too long!), saying "Hi", "Hug", and "Ai-goo", telling long stories, and generally loves individual attention.
Just a FEW Highlights during November and December include:
*Nov. 5: First night sleeping in his crib
*Nov. 19: First whole day away from mom and dad at Vanessa's
*Nov. 22: Meeting cousin Larson (finally!)
*Nov. 23: Turned 90 degrees in crib, woke up crying with legs stuck between bars!
*Nov. 27: Thanksgiving at Grandparents in Eau Claire; first night away from Home
*Nov. 28: First sucks thumb while Auntie Molly is holding him
*Nov. 28: First trip to Grandparents in Chicago area
*Dec. 6: First Korean word "Ai-goo!"
*Dec. 10: First grabs toy when put to fingers
*Dec. 13: Auntie Hilary graduates
*Dec. 24: First Christmas Eve at Grandparents in Eau Claire and church service
*Dec. 25: Christmas with friends in St. Paul
*Dec. 26: Meets (Great) Grandma Mary for the first time
I'll try to get the 4 month photos up a lot sooner!! :)

2 Months Old Already!!!
I started back to work after Gabe was six weeks old; after 2 weeks of vacation, Peter started his new overnight job this past week. I don't know how he does it: working all night and then taking care of Gabriel during the day! But my boys started with a good routine--including Gabe sleeping in late. Praise God!
Gabe started sleeping through the night consistantly at 5 1/2 weeks old! He started to coo and social smile. He loves watching our pets and his surroundings. We've left him with babysitters a couple of times and even got a just mommy-daddy date night in! He has visited with both sets of grandparents and all his aunties. Gabriel has been sleeping in his room in his crib for a little over a week.
I finally bought a Baby's First Year Calendar and we are recording every new experience. Today was Gabe's first grocery shopping trip--Peter carried him in his Snugli (carrier) and our baby was fascinated by all he saw. It's such a precious time to experience all our boy's "Firsts".
Here is Gabriel's two month photo with his Teddy. He wasn't in a great mood that night, so we took these shots in between tears!

3 weeks old
Sorry I haven't been too good about updating the blog...I will try to get back to once/week. Everytime I've tried to update the blog, Gabe decides it's time to eat ;)
Gabe had his doctor check-up yesterday. No shots for him, but mommy had to get a tetanus shot and flu shot, so now her arms are pretty sore!!!
His 3 week stats:
*20.25 inches long (19th percentile)
*9 lbs. 0.5 oz. (42th percentile)
*head circumfrence: 14.69 inches (41st percentile)
A big milestone happened last week is that Gabe rolled over from front to back!!! We were having some "tummy time" and he started scooting across the blanket, so we got out the video camera and then "flip!" He has rolled over 4 times in the past 5 days! What a strong boy!!!
I'll try to post the video later (it'll take me a little while to figure out...)
